Production Overview
The Wild Party, based on Michael John LaChiusa's musical adaptation of the infamous poem, follows a group of characters entangled in a hedonistic and intense evening of jazz, love, and betrayal in the 1920s. This production, performed by the third-year degree students of Arts Educational Schools, brought the raw energy and dark allure of the Jazz Age to life on stage.
Choreography Contributions
As choreographer, I crafted movement that captured the decadence and volatility of the 1920s setting, combining authentic jazz dance vocabulary with stylized, expressive elements that heightened the show’s themes of passion and tension. Each piece was designed to reflect the characters’ complex relationships, using choreography to enhance the storytelling and immerse the audience in the seductive and chaotic atmosphere of The Wild Party.
